Start with templates
Templates are published YADL documents that give you a useful structure before you add your own message, visual style, and data.
Browse and preview
Open Templates to search and filter published work. A template detail page describes its intended use, category, tags, access level, and available preview.
Free templates can show an interactive preview to everyone. A paid template can show its public preview while reserving its live editable preview and source for users whose active plan includes that level.
Use a template
- Open the template detail page.
- Select Use Template.
- YADL opens the template in the editor with a shareable
?template=URL. - Replace the copy, visual structure, or timing for your own audience.
- Save the result to your account when you are ready to keep a cloud-backed version.
Using a template does not edit the published original. If the template requires a plan you do not have, YADL leaves your current editor workspace unchanged and shows an access message.
Choose the right template
- Use a process or architecture template when relationships and order matter.
- Use a presentation or infographic template when you need a narrative sequence.
- Prefer a template with a public preview and a clear description of what it helps explain.
You can also begin with a reusable component when you need one repeatable visual building block rather than a full document.
Add icons, illustrations, logos, people, and backgrounds
Use the YADL asset command center to find visual building blocks and source-backed backgrounds without leaving your workspace.
Reuse visual components
Find published YADL components, preview them, and create a document that starts with a reusable visual module.
