Animate and export

Export an image

Save the current YADL canvas or timeline frame as PNG, JPEG, WEBP, or SVG from the editor.

Export an image

Choose Export Image in the editor menu, or press Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + I. Image export happens in the browser and saves the currently rendered canvas.

Choose the output

  • PNG: lossless output with an optional transparent background.
  • JPEG: compressed opaque output; transparency is not available.
  • WEBP: a modern compressed web format with a selectable quality level.
  • SVG: a scalable container for the current export flow.

Set a descriptive filename, choose 1x, 2x, or 3x resolution, and select the theme, transparent, white, or dark background where the chosen format supports it.

Export a precise timeline frame

When a timeline is active, the dialog pauses playback and reports the current timestamp and scene. Use the frame slider to scrub to the moment you need, then export that exact frame.

For an animated file rather than a still image, use Export video.

Prepare a video frame

Set up a YADL document for an animated video export with the right frame and timeline.

Export video

Prepare, submit, monitor, download, or remove a YADL video export from your account.
