Create your first visual
Start a YADL visual in the browser, choose a template when it helps, and save work at the right time.
Create your first visual
YADL starts with an editable visual document in your browser. You do not need to install anything or create an account before you explore an idea.
1. Start from a blank document
Open the YADL editor. Use the preview to create and arrange visual elements, or open the source editor when you want to work directly with the YADL document. Your anonymous workspace is stored locally in this browser.
2. Choose a useful starting point
For a faster start, browse Templates. Select Use Template to open an editable copy in the editor. The published template remains unchanged.
You can also browse Components and choose Use component to start a new visual with a reusable module already placed in the document.
3. Make the explanation clear
Use the canvas controls for shapes, arrows, text, images, and selection. Add icons, illustrations, logos, or a configured human through the asset search. Keep one idea per visual area, then use connectors and labels to show relationships and sequence.
4. Save, share, or export
You can keep experimenting locally without signing in. Sign in when you want cloud-backed saved work, account-only catalog access, or queued video exports. Use Export Image for the current canvas/frame, or Export Video when your document has a valid video configuration and timeline.
Next: learn the editor, browse templates, or prepare an export.
