Reuse visual components

Find published YADL components, preview them, and create a document that starts with a reusable visual module.

Reuse visual components

Components are reusable visual modules: a status card, node, button, chart, or other repeatable building block that can start a new YADL document.

Browse and preview

Open Components to search published components. Each card provides two actions:

  • View component opens the detail page, including the description, category, tags, and available live preview.
  • Use component opens the main editor with the module and a generated usage document.

The editor URL includes ?component= so the starting point can be shared. It creates a new working document; it does not change the published component.

Access and availability

Some components have an access level. YADL checks the current plan before loading a protected source-backed module or live preview. If a component is unavailable, archived, invalid, or beyond your plan, YADL explains the issue and keeps unrelated work safe.

Make a component part of your visual

After the editor opens, change the generated content and arrange the component with the rest of the canvas. Save your document when you want to keep a cloud-backed version. Use Templates when you need an entire visual story instead of one reusable part.

Start with templates

Browse published YADL templates, understand access levels, and open an editable copy safely.

Use the timeline

Preview, scrub, and adjust the sequence of a timeline-bearing YADL visual document.
